Roots, Rhythm, and Movement

  • Thursday, November 13, 2014
  • 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM
  • The Devilliers Heritage Museum: 500 West Belmont Street

Roots, Rhythm, and Movement- Eleanor Johnson , Poleon Williams, and friends will perform.

This studio performance will enlighten the community about the African American contributions to the arts, through storytelling, dance, music, art, film, and poetry. We are paying tribute to the development of community artist, how African American culture has influenced the world, our responsibilities as stewards of the earth, and how to use the arts to further improve children's outcomes and build adult capabilities.
Our audience will leave with a better understanding of how individuals have chosen to use their gifts to create a way of life, as well as, how arts can be vital to community development.

Through a call of action we want our audience to be stimulated and energized to look deep within your own abilities to use to create better outcomes of health, wealth, and prosperity.
